Wc start out from the assumption that causative and perceptual verbs, like auxiliaries, can lexically 'raise' the arguments of the non-finite verbs they govern to their own list of arguments through &amp;quot;argument composition&amp;quot; (\[H&amp;N(1989)\]).</Paragraph>
