6 Conclusions
</SectionTitle>
    <Paragraph position="0"> This paper presents a machine learning approach to question classification. We proposed the HDAG kernel, a new kernel function, that can easily handle structured natural language data.</Paragraph>
    <Paragraph position="1"> Our experimental results proved that features of the structure in a given question, which can be computed by the HDAG kernel, are useful for improving the performance of question classification. This is because structures inside a text provide the semantic features of question that are required for high-performance question classification.</Paragraph>
