6 Conclusion

    <Paragraph position="0"> We have proposed a method for achieving both topic segmentation and link detection by using collocations together with word recurrence in texts. Its evaluation showed the soundness of this approach for working with a local context. We plan to extend it to methods that rely on the whole text they process. We also aim at extending the evaluation part of this work by improving the global measure we have proposed and by comparing our results to human judgments.</Paragraph>
