    <Paragraph position="0"> We proposed a path-based transfer model for machine translation, where the transfer rules are automatically acquired from a word-aligned parallel corpus. The problem of finding the most probable translation is formulated as a graph-theoretic problem of finding the minimum path covering of the source language dependency tree.</Paragraph>
