    <Paragraph position="0"> In this paper, we discussed how the error annotation scheme for learner corpora should be designed mainly by explaining the current error tagging scheme for the NICT JLE Corpus and its future expansion. Through learner data corrected by a native speaker, we decided to introduce discourse errors into the error annotation in order to cover learners' communicative competence, which cannot be measured with the current error tagging scheme.</Paragraph>
