    <Paragraph position="0"> We reported our causal relation tags and the annotation work ow. Using the annotated corpus, we examined the causal relation instances in Japanese text. From our investigation, it became clear that what amount of causal relation instances are present, where these relation instances are present, and which types of linguistic expressions are used for expressing these relation instances in text.</Paragraph>
