    <Paragraph position="1"> An exploration of a variety of term-based approaches for answering relationship questions has demonstrated the impact of different techniques, but more importantly, this work highlights limitations of purely IR-based methods. With a strong baseline as a foundation, the door is wide open for the integration of natural language understanding techniques.</Paragraph>
