<Paragraph position="0"> In this paper I have shown, that the scalability of non-statistical natural language understanding systems essentially depends on its capability to be up to date when it comes to understand language. Furthermore, I took the position that ontology learning is viable, when it happens incrementally and in a context-sensitive fashion. Future work will focus on implementation and evaluation within a running multi-modal dialog system. Additionally, a tight integration with automatic lexicon and grammar learning is of paramount importance.</Paragraph>
