Further research would show if this becomes completely unmanagable.</Paragraph> <Paragraph position="1"> A possible solution to this problem is discussed in McKeown 1987 in which pragmatic constraints are added to a FUG grammer.</Paragraph> <Paragraph position="2"> They show how the constraints can be stated in one place, rather than duplicated throughout the feature system.</Paragraph> <Paragraph position="3"> Certain combinations of initial feature assignments cause failure to generate.
