    <Paragraph position="1"> The model identifies topic continuation by using dialogue interaction structures instead of domain knowledge. This is based on the hypothesis that a directive utterance repeats the same topic until the next utterance. The model has been validated by the results of a topic recognition experiment.</Paragraph>
