<Paragraph position="0"> The phrase "MT in a day" is strongly associated with research in statistical MT. In this paper we demonstrate that "MT in a day" is possible with a non-statistical MT system provided that the transfer component is learned from aligned bilingual corpora (bi-texts), and does not rely on any large hand-crafted bilingual resource.
