Abstract

    <Paragraph position="0"> In this paper, we are going to describe some aspects of the TAMIC-P system for German, which interprets natural-language queries to databases in the social insurance domain. These natural language queries are complex NPs, consisting of clusters of NPs and PPs. The parser uses information about co-occurence and domination of linguistic elements as well as concept hierarchies in the domain to construct a parse tree and, subsequently, a derivation in quasi-logical form. This derivation can be translated into a database access query.</Paragraph>
